Tales Long Lost

Posted by
Martin A. Mora (North Platte, United States) on 25 January 2010 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

With sword of rust, forsaken trust
Forgotten there by most
Yet there he guards, past deadly wards,
A kingdom's stately ghost.

His shoulders bent, their vigor spent
The weight of all the years
Falls on his cowl. Mere blackened scowl
Remains of mortal fears.

No strength remains. The knight retains
The challenge he has wrought,
Past slivered age the destined wage
Of wars that once were fought.

He must be one of your favourite models Martin, I see you posted him back in December too. Great lighting in this shot and the reds are so attractive.

@Curly: right curley, these were actually shot on the same evening, the robe he has is actually a type of south american panch, but when it put it on, i thought it would look great as a robe, so I grabbed a sword (everyone has one of those laying around right?) and we took this shot for me :)

Wow. That is a fantastic portrait. It is so classic -- as in the Dutch masters. What a great pose! You make this man very photogenic. The verse quoted is totally appropriate. I'm a George RR Martin fan myself so I love the subject matter.
