Happy Couples

Posted by
Martin A. Mora (North Platte, United States) on 13 June 2010 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

As we were walking around the park area in Downtown Chicago, These 2 students came up and asked if they could take a photo, of my wife and I, Being curious of course as would anyone, we asked why. She said it was a class project and needed to take photos of happy couples that they come across, So I thought it was Kinda neat that they saw us as a happy couple..(Wife is usually Mad!) (Teasing) and she happened to be useing a Canon 7D which helped her chances, So I agreed to the photo shoot on the stipulation that I would also get to take their Photo, Which is what you see here, I gave them this web page addy, so they could contact me, and get to see themselves on the web. They seemed Like very nice kids, and it was a fun and memorable encounter :)

Happy is, and happy shall be! Seems like a cool and enjoyable project to be engaged in, why did nobody ask me to do things like that when I was at college?
Next question, did you not hand over your own 7D to let them picture yourself and the missus for inclusion in these pages?

Wonderful story! We MUST see you and the missus! At the moment I'm into testing various lenses in order to get something that would give me shallow DOF for portraits, so I look very closely at your picture. Apparently you placed the focus just a little bit in front of the couple, so the DOF ends just at the hair border - and at f/5.0. A splendid achievement.
