Nebraska Land Days Governors Art Show

Posted by
Martin A. Mora (North Platte, United States) on 22 June 2010 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

An update on the art show I attended this last week, First Off All The Artist were very professional and very nice to this first timer at the program, A Big Thank You to all of Them, and the Board that invited me, and made this first experience an enjoyable one. A few things I found out through the week, ..I was the First Photographer ever invited to this Art Show, which I thought was very cool :), As the show started, I sold a print about 15 min into the opening of the show. (cool).. The Gentleman that Bought that print was State Senator Tom Hansen, who was really very nice, and told me, My photograph would be hanging in his office..(Very Cool)..and in the last hours of the show, 2 of the board members came up, and presented me with a Plaque, which turned out to be "The Peoples Choice Award" which was (VERY VERY COOL).. All in all it was something I will always remember, and hope to have made many new friends amough the extremly talented Professional Artist that attended, ( I was in Awe of their skills.. Amazing :)
a side note as to referance to print sizes, the smallest was the Tiger bottom right, an 8x10 print, the largest was a 20x30, Bottom left, also the print, top right middle, was also a 20x30, printed on Canvas, (My Fav) :)And again, a big thank you to all my friends here in -3 for their kind comments and support in my photography, it really makes a differance :) Thank You!

I thought this was painting - is it your body of photo work ? Congrats for the exhibition, Martin !
(that's very very personal but i don't like that kind of heavy wooden frames, so close to old painting, but i guess it's on purpose, isn't it ? And what counts in your pix, bravo again for the big bunch of them exhibited here and hope you'll sell them all***)

Many congratulations Martin, the whole event appears to have been VERY VERY VERY COOL!
Just rewards for the time and trouble/expense in arranging the printing and framing of your works. Was this a difficult process, or did you take on the challenge yourself? (I'm guessing not judging by some of the larger sizes on canvass)

@Curly: Its kinda what I used to do when I worked in the studio, I was the custom printer for 3 pro photographers, but now I upload my photos to a quality lab in Kansas, who does a fantastic job at printing :)
